Description
The Red Emperor is also known as Government Bream, Red, King Snapper and Emperor. The Red Emperor has an intense pink body colour with three deep red lines that cross the body, the first line extents from the top of the head passing over the eye to the snout. The middle line runs vertically from the spiny dorsal through the pectoral and ventral fins. The lower line crosses the body from the soft dorsal down to lower half of the caudal fin. All the fins on the Red emperor have red outer margins that often have a white edge except the tail which has a deep red mark at the top and bottom with a white or pinkish middle divide. Red Emperor can grow to approximately 20kg however they are more common up to 10kg.
