Description
Long-finned Eel is also known as Freshwater Eel and Spotted Eel. Long Finned Eels body is dark in colour usually a mottled black brown to greenish on the back and flanks becoming lighter to the belly area. The Long Finned Eel other distinguishing features is the elongated muscular body the mouth is large with thick lips. Long finned Eels grow up to 1.6mtr in length and approximately 20kg however most commonly caught up to 1mtr.

Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania

Light Tackle.

Baits
Worms, Small Fish, Freshwater Yabby and Freshwater Shrimp.
