Description
The Pearl Perch is also known as Pearlie. The Pearl Perch body colour is silvery grey pearl lustre with small brown spots on the scales. Pearl perch are distinguished by a large pearly white bone located at the upper edge of the gill covers and a dark spot present below the second dorsal fin, Juveniles have a brown line that passes through the eye from top to bottom. Pearl perch have large eyes and a robust body grow up to 70cm and more than 5kg in weight.

Distribution
Central coast of Queensland to the Central New South Wales coast. Inhabiting offshore reef areas.

Tackle
Medium to Heavy Tackle.

Baits
Squid, Prawns, Octopus, Pilchards and other live or cut fish baits.
