Description
The Short Finned Eel is also known as the Silver Eel, yellow Eel and Eel. The body colour of the Short Finned Eel varies they are usually dark brown to blackish however they may also have a olive green appearance on the upper back this colouration is solid compared with the Long find Eel Which has a mottled appearance. The lower parts of the body including the belly area is generally white in colour. Short Finned Eels can grow to over 1 meter and more than 3kg in weight.
